Hi Team,

This query is for D365 Finance and Operations.

Whenever we edit a record in any of the form i.e.  Customer master / Vendor master / Bank master and any of the information is updated / changed, system to pop-up following message.

Save-Alert.jpg

The current behavior of the application as follows with the example of editing Vendor master form;

Add test input ( Method of Payment)  – click save. Record gets Auto-saved and no pop-up message.

Add test input ( Method of Payment) – click X upper right corner. Still record gets Auto-saved and no pop-up message.

However, if you click ESC you will have the required pop-up.

ExpectationIn default we need pop-up message for record save confirmation. Is there any standard feature by enabling which this can be achieved?

Regards,

Vivek

There is no standard feature to enable pop on save of every record and it does not make sense to me. Why you want go with such a behaviour ?

    Thanks for the response Sukrut.

There is a strong ask from client to have this feature as they have been used with the legacy system. Have gone back with statement as its application standard UI behavior though they have asked to do intensive research. This brought me here to post this query.

    Hello Vivek Arora,

You have to check with the developer in that case if this is really a 'Need' from the user's perspective.

But at the same time, as Sukrut mentioned; this is not really make any sense!

I believe; users were habituated seeing the same in their legacy system which they just want to bring it forward in D365 too.

    Kindly check and provide feedback.

    Best regards,

    Thanks for the response Sourav.

I do agree with Yours and Sukrut statement and will take up with client in next discussion.

Would try to keep this as a standard UI behavior and avoid development around this.

Thanks once again for your quick guidance.
