Thanks for the info! I've restored the ribbon.
The reason we use this function daily is because of our asset managament system.
Once a work order is completed we want it to be read-only (after checking all is well in our asset management system). If not things could be changed in the work order and the information in Field Service is different than in our asset management system (we use Infor EAM for asset management for now).
We have a lot of 'triggers' behind the scenes that synchronize between FS and Infor, so a change in a WO field will also trigger a change in Infor, and when a WO is completed that should not happen because that will mess up the information in Infor with no way to revert the change if you don't know what was previous there.
I've seen other ways you can do this by automating this process if I'm correct, implementing business rules that automatically set the work orders to inactive when completed. Or other ways maybe.. We've just started with FS so all is quite new and sometimes confusing. There are so many settings everywhere, it's hard to wrap my head around all the settings options.. but that's a learning curve and I will also get more training in the near future. This Wave 2 update caught me/us by surprise but that's also part of the learning curve.
Anyway, I've learned a lot the past days trying to catch up with all the information surrounding the Wave 2 update.
Kind regards,
