Moving Workspace Tiles

The tiles that I've added to a workspace regularly change positions (about once per day). I initially set them up in preferred positions, and previously created workspaces maintained static tile positioning. Any ideas on how I can get my tiles to stay where I've put them?

I have the same question (0)

    RE: Moving Workspace Tiles

    Hello,

A colleague has exactly the same problem. Has a better solution been found? Adding a number to the tile is not acceptable in my case.

The problem. The desired organisation :

The same workspace, just 1 hour after. All the tiles change of place :

    Thank you,

    Hi Gingerlord8,

For the last and 'unfortunate' thing there is an option to suggest to MS to improve things. You can do this by submitting an idea on the ideas portal that you can access fright from the top of this site. If you get sufficient votes for the idea then MS will have a look at it and hopefully fix it soon with one of the next releases.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

I had a co-worker test this one independently of my own test of Ludwig's suggestion below, and this recommendation appears to have worked as well. The only unfortunate thing is that the pinned tiles show up underneath the workspace on your home page and eat up some of the space there.

Thank you! I think this worked, as the tiles have not moved since I added numbers in front of their names. That being said, I wish there was another workaround, as having two numbers on the tile (when they also display their total line counts) can be confounding.

    Hi Gingerlord8,

What you can try doing is adding numbers in front of the tile description. Ex: 1 Customer (that links to customers), 2 Vendors (that links to vendors), etc. Doing that should ensure that things are not resorted.

Would be great if you could test this and let us know if this works for you.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Gingerlord8,

Can you try  'Pin to dashboard' by Right-click on the tile that you want to move and select ‘Personalise’.

    Hope it help you.
