The easiest option is to create another user account in your Azure Active Directory (for example Testuser@mycompany.com).

Then add this user in your system and add your user role to this user. Then login to the system as Testuser@mycompany.com.

    Hi Voltes,

As Nikolaos said, you need to create a user in the current AAD firstly, then add it into D365FO in System Administration\Users\New.

Refer to Andre's blog about demo users.

    Hello,

As others mentioned, you need to create a test user and then grant this user with the created security role. You can refer to the document below for more details.

    Thanks,

    Wei

Ideal would be to have another common testing user from AAD, so you can assign roles and then test it.

But there is a very interesting add-in for visual studio to perform Role testing (meant for developers having access to visual studio).

Details can be found in blog post:

Only thing which you might have issue is with the path for tool, latest i found it to be under

    E:\AppRing4\8.1.170.20002\retail\Services\DevToolsService\Scripts

security testing cannot be done with a single user.

As others also suggested, need to setup one more user and then assign security roles and test and optimize
