    Hi Lionel,

What happened is unknown for me. It can be caused by customizations or data correction/manipulation jobs. Does the Inventory On-hand also mentions these 1497 units as deducted? You used a tag "retail". Do you know if the original sales order was created from retail transactions?

Try running the Consistency checker on Inventory transactions for the affected item. Here's an idea how to do it timsaxblog.wordpress.com/.../consistency-check-for-a-single-item-in-dynamics-365-for-operations-and-ax-2012-and-ax-2009

Hello Andre, no sales order was a normal sales order. It was not created from retail. There was no customization or job manipulation. Funny thing is the Inventory On-hand does not have the 1497.

Thanks for the suggestion Guy, unfortunately this did not solve the problem. am now back at square one.

One funny thing though.....when i went to my database and run the query select * from SALESLINE where SALESLINE.SALESID ='ACP-022396' It showed the line with the quantity. but if i try to find the invoice(Select * from CUSTINVOICETRANS where CUSTINVOICETRANS.SALESID='ACP-022396') for the sales order number i find nothing...

From this, I figured the sales order did not actually got invoiced. Any thoughts on this?

    Hi Lionel,

It is hard to tell what happened. It seems like the sales order header got deleted without the line(s). Can you find in the history journals the sales order confirmation and/or picking lists/packing slips?

The transaction is not linked to an Invoice; if it were, it would have the status Sold. It should be linked to a packing slip though.

However, that doesn't help you much. It shouldn't be possible to delete a sales order which is only packing slip updated. Do you know how that might have happened? Did the 1,497 units get delivered to a customer, or are they still in your physical inventory?
