Creating and testing Queues in Test Enviroment

Posted on by 240

Hi,

I need to test incoming emails in test enviroment with queues, and i don't want to use the production email that we will use for queues . What email can i use? Can i use my private to create queues and test it or is it needed to be created in the office365 admin in order to work?

Thanks!

For all my testing that needs emails, I use the free service (https://www.mailinator.com), you can create a free email inbox there and use it for your queues. I think the email inbox will be deleted after few weeks if you stop using it. Be careful to not put any important info in the email as the inbox is public.

Also, if you have some extra mailbox in your online exchange, you can use that. Normally, what you need is a shared mailbox for the queue and not a person mailbox.
