Global Address Book in AX 2012 - State, County and Country/region relationships.

Hi all,

When entering addresses In AX 2012, I am unable to enter a free-text 'State' or 'County' line unless in setup, they have previously been created and linked to the relevant 'Country/region'.

I am however able to create free-text 'City' lines, dispite there being the same setup parameters.

Does anyone know how to make entering address consistent across all lines, i.e. able to enter free-text lines for State and County as well as City?

If not, how is this normally handled from an implementation perspective? Are all States and County's pre-populated as part of the configuration phase?
