No record found.
I have a form that is based on Details Transaction Pattern. Everything works fine except when there is just one header record. when the user opens the form, the details tab is shown automatically for this record which we want to prevent. I am aware of the option insert if empty and set it to NO. As we know this option is useful when the data source is empty. what about the situation of the single record?
Hi Nastaran,
Is my assumption correct that you have a form with more than one data source? Do you want to have a behavior where the details view is enabled if you have records and a header view when there is only a header record? Is it a new custom form?
The display menu item that opens the form has property Form View Option. Set it to "Grid" and the form should always open in the grid mode.
Dear Andre,
yes the form is a new customization. This form consist of the one data source but some fields are shown in the details tab view. my question is so simple. when there is one record, if I open the form, the details tab for that record shows. however, when there are multiple records, if I open the form the grid panel (header view) is shown. I want to show grid panel when user open the form whether there is one record or multiple records. I do not want to show the detail tab at first (d365 shows it automatically) . details tab only should be shown if user clicks on the record.
