Time to execute retail jobs

Hi All,

Its take more than 2 hours to execute all (9999) jobs for one store in our environment. Is it normal?

If not then how can we optimize it?

We are using AX 2012 R3 CU11 and SQL server 2014 SP2.

Regards,

Hassan

    Hi Hassan,

How many items and customers are involved? Are you monitoring your hardware and SQL machines for performance counters ( e.g. fragmemted indexes, long running queries)

Do you have customizations or partner solitions in this area?

    Hi Andre,

There are around 3500 customers and 20000 items involved.

Yes, I am monitoring hardware and SQL. Everything is behaving normally. AX client goes into not responding state and it uses less than 5% of CPU. Sometime even it also shows that it is using 0% of CPU.

    Yes we have customization also.

    Regards,

    Hassan

    Hi Hassan,

have you tried running 9999-All Jobs in Batch as opposed to running from the client? Any errors in the event logs? Have any download sessions been created whilst the Client is frozen?

    Regards,

    Steve

    Hi Steven,

Yes, we have tried it with batch jobs also. No errors.

Download sessions are also being created while the client is frozen.

    Regards,

    Hassan

    Hi Hassan,

What about the SQL performance monitoring? Is this giving some information? Did you also check hardware resources usage on the AOS servers?

may be a network issue, you need to investigate network topology and optimize it firstly

    Hi Andre,

    Hardware usage is normal.

We have not seen anything suspicious at SQL monitoring as well.

    Hassan
