Difference between Item Arrival and Product Receipt?

Dear Experts,

Greetings,I am new to ax and just wanna grab some information i will be great-full for your help.

As i mentioned before what is difference between Item arrival and Product receipt? what is financial data and physical date and how it works with inventory transaction?? what would be the impact to business??

Item arrival updates PO Line inventory transactions to Registered. It is an optional step before Product receipt, and brings the items into inventory from a quantity perspective, but not from a financial perspective.

Product receipt updates the inventory transactions to Received and also posts financial inventory (if it is configured to do so).

item arrival can be used for receipt of transfer order, return sales order, purchase order.

product receipt is only for purchase order
