Prevent Plugin running on multiple D365 application based on user role

Hi,

We have two application being used by business user in D365 1. Service Hub 2. Customer Service Workspace where the business logic is to restrict plugin firing registered on case entity from two instances and should allow to trigger only in one instance as it's a common entity and is available in these application and it might break the business logic.

Could you please let me know how this can be implemented.

Hi,

A plugin cannot know from which application it was triggered.

However, JS can have this information and eventually pass it to the plugin. See: community.dynamics.com/.../how-to-get-current-application-id-in-crm-plugin

Alternatively, maybe a user rights check in the plugin would be appropriate?
