Hi There,
So I've a new windows 10 home edition laptop and have installed office 365 in 32 bit mode and downloaded the outlook plugin from our server for our office system and also tried Microsoft downloads.
It installs fine but won't connect through the configuration tool to our on premise CRM 2016 (v8) - complains of a "missing windows update on this system" - the help link then points to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3089675/solutions-for-microsoft-crm-application-outlook-config-configexception which points to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4341501/there-is-a-missing-windows-update-on-this-system-this-update-is-necess which is about 'upgrading to windows 8 - erm no thanks.
When trying to configure it through Outlook:
- Activity ID: xxxxxx-2c6c-4189-97ff-xxxxx
- Relying party: crm.xxxxx.xxxxx
- Error time: Mon, 19 Oct 2020 12:48:36 GMT
- Cookie: enabled
- User agent string: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 10.0; Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; Trident/7.0; Microsoft Outlook 16.0.13231
)
I then seem to be stuck in a loop until i exit outlook. I've nowhere to go on this one, nothing i can see helpful in event logs .
Would you have any other ideas?
Thanks
Stuart
