Debugging using different credentials

Hi I need to debug an issue with the permissions on a new menu item, that  is accessed directly via URL giving error 'You are unable to navigate directly to this menu item ***". All looks ok with the duties, privileges and roles, so I need to debug with different credentials to the one I usually (non admin) but how can I do this please?

    Hi Kar,

Can you explain if this menu item is also included in a menu? If so, are you able to access it? I assume the direct URL is working as system admin? How did you change the security objects? Via Visual Studio or the Configuration in D365? Did you already tried the option to synchronize all or repair from the Security configuration form?

I accessed debugging with non admin rights ok, but unfortunately I have no stack before the error (info.add) because code is external. Any ideas please?

yes,  it is when I limit permissions that I get issue (full rights works fine) but not the 'access denied permissions' error if there was an issue with permissions, if you know what I mean.

    Hi Andre,

Yes, I created privileges and duties via visual, and then consultant attached to roles (usual stuff). I tried it from a menu and access works fine! It is when I access directly via url (i.e. mi=**newmenuitem**.) I am thinking when you access directly you might need some added privileges?

Thank you for pointers, found issue :) The new menu items need to have property allowRootAccess on!
