I keep on getting this error...but I have all of my journals names set up, does anyone have any idea why I would be getting this error?

Whoops I attached a picture and it did not show up.

The error says: Calculating BOM Consumption - journal name does not exist.

There is a parameter field for a BOM journal in Inventory and warehouse management parameters in tabpage Journals. Is this setup ?

    Hi Rosey,

It would be more helpful to see the real form with the error. I think it is looking for the Production control parameter "Picking list" which can be found on the Journals tab.

(Production control > Setup > Production control parameters)

You have to specify a journal name here.

    Hi All,

I've just found a similar issue when I've tried to start production. All the relevant Production Journals are specified in the Production Controls Parameters form, including the Picking List, but I still get the Journal Name does not exist error message. What could be missing?

    Thanks

    Julian

All...think I may have solved this myself.....the defaults weren't applying to the Start Production form. Once they had been set, the process starts without error. :-)

    Dear

Regarding your error, I have solved your issue.

During setting up the job registration, I experienced the same error (see picture via link below) when starting a job in the job registration form. Hence, I filled in the picking list journal name in the Production parameters of the Manufacturing execution setup - see picture via link below.

Afterwards, I was able to start the job.
