Trial Balance Shows Empty Account Name

Dear Expert,

I have a strange condition where trial balance show one ledger account without name but it has amount.

I have tried rebuild balance and update balance from General Ledger > Financial Dimensions > Financial Dimensions Set but nothing is happened.

    Hi,

    Please check in the chart of accounts if an account name and possibly an account name translation into your users language have been setup.

    Dear All,

    Lately my admin gave me this info:

    He was trying to reset all transaction data by ran "SysDatabaseTransDelete". After that, he tried to delete bank account (since it's not used anymore) but AX gave him error message. Then he manually deleted data for the bank accounts from DimensionAttributeLevelValue and after that he deleted the bank account successfully.

    Could be the missing account in TB caused by this?

    No, the account doesn't have name translation.

    If your users language is different from the default en-us language then the setup of a translated name would help.

    Otherwise, I would recommend trying to talk to your colleague who executed the delete process especially if your account setup was ok before.

    Dear All,

    I have found the solution for my problem. Based on my case, following are steps to solved the issue:

    1. Change the main account of bank accounts that made trouble from 110105101 (old number) to the new one which is dummy account. I change it from Cash and bank management > Common > Bank Accounts.
    2. Change main account number 110105101 to dummy account number - like 900000001 - and change it descriptions. I change it from General Ledger > Common > Main accounts
    3. Create new main account using the same number as the old one - 110105101.
    4. Change back main account of the bank accounts from step 1 to 110105101.

    The consequence of my solution is the amount  from the old 110105101 account is stored on account 900000001 and it must be manually adjusted by accounting.

    This is very important lesson from me that do not ever delete data directly from database. :D

    Hello Haryo,

    Great that you found the underlying issue.

    Before 'closing' this issue please do also double check that the balances that you find for your bank accounts match with those that you find on your ledger accounts in GL.

    That is, please check if the bank subledger matches GL.
