Automated alerts to sales rep, if something changes on their sales order?

My sales rep would like to know if the planned shipment date changes. Is this possible to automate?

I've looked at power automate, but unfortunately it seems very limited in what it can do, and what types of data it can access.

I saw an old forum post where someone suggested to make my own API page. Is that possible if I am not a licensed microsoft partner? (I'm "just" a user, with full admin rights, but I'm not the developer).

You can define your own API pages with out being a licenses MS partner. But you need to have the necessary AL skills to do so.

Hi,

You can setup a monitored field and set the salesperson as the recipient. Search for Monitored Field Worksheet in Business Central (released in 2020 Wave 2)

You could also create an extension that sends notifications on the date change. docs.microsoft.com/.../devenv-notifications-developing
