Operation resource input location on batch order with "flushing principle" Start

Hey,

I've got a question regarding batch order formula lines and the possibility to have "flushing principle" Start on each line and pick up the location from the resource input location. Kind of the way it works with "flushing priciple" finish, where the resoruce input location populates the pick list journal "location" field and posts the picking list with quantity consumed. No reservations and without running wave, work templates and location directives. We are running a PAC (10) operation with a resoruce input location, that works fine with "flushing principle" finish. Is there a parameter or other setting to get this to work with 'Start' as well? Do we have to send some feedback (for the operation to complete and locate the input location) when we 'Start' the order?

Right now I'm not getting a location in the pick list, have tried a whole range of solutions - Anyone who has done this successfully? Without reservations for the items?

I have the same question (0)

if not reserving then how would system know which location to suggest.

What we did, create pick list and not post and in the pick list report show available stock so that picker can use that information and accordingly update pick list and then post

Yes, well, we are not reserving the items when we use "flushing principle" finish. The items are at the resource input location on the route. When we report as finished these are 'backflushed'. I would like to use the same execution on flushing principle start, so that we flush the same items but at start instead of finish. We do not have any pickers for these batch orders, it is all done from 'bulk' location (from the kitchen) so we always have items and qty on this specifik location on the resource requirement -> Input location
