Confirmation about Dynamics AX

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

I would like you to confirm about Dynamics AX

We try to order 2 AX server, and 10 Enterprise User in one legal entity, in order to use these for 2 different affiliates.

Is it possible ?

Even though we ordered those in PartnerSource Business Center in which Dynamics AX, or Dynamics 365 can be ordered,  those servers can be managed in every server?

Please check it.

    Hi Dongwoo,

Can you explain what you mean by "one legal entity" and "2 different affiliates"?

According to the Microsoft Dynamics ERP Downgrade Policy you can downgrade license from Dynamics 365 for Operations on-premises to  AX2012R3

But as i remember you cannot use to difference Production  environment with same license other than you use each your entities under same Production environment according to the compliance policy.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Good Morning Dongwoo Lee,

In addition to what has been mentioned before, it might be a good idea to get into contact with your local MS representative / office. They can provide you with additional information especially when it comes to pricing, licenses, etc.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

Is this question about Dynamics AX (2012) or Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations On-premises?

In general it's best to first check the licensing guide, and ask directly from your local Microsoft representative if you are unsure.
