Docx issues automating Fill-in Prompts and toggle fields when merging

We've been asked by MS to convert our merge documents to docx and while converting these documents we noticed Toggle Fields (calculation fields) and fill-in prompts no longer work unless we go through the entire document manually, and update each individual field.  

  • Is there a way to get fill-in prompts to display automatically after merging? 
  • Is there a way to get the calculation fields to automatically update after merging?

Any solution offered needs to work in docx format.
