Zetadocs Express and Production orders

(0) ShareShare

hello,

i wanna use zetadocs express with production orders.

there are some strange things.

* changing the Status from 'released' to 'finished' cuts the document links. so the finishied prod. order has no attached documents any more. but it's the same record with the same object no.

* in SharePoint normally the record-no. (nav object no.) and the organisation Name are shown in the SP document line. using the zetadocs factbox with a production order these values are empty. Also, ev. more important, in SP no document folders are created using. prod. orders.

does anyone know this problem?

regards

    Hello,

For the first issue that you mention, where related documents are not shown on the Finished Production Order, please refer to ZTN4282 for information on how to configure the results that are displayed in the Zetadocs Document Factbox.

For the second issue, please refer to ZTN4274 for information on how to add Zetadocs Document Factbox features in non Sales and Purchase areas of NAV.

    I hope this is helpful.

    Kind regards,

    hello

    yes it helps, but ...

    the main issue is:

using production orders means to use an object with a state. this state (open, released, finished, ...) can change.

changing this state means: create a new production order with new state, copy the attribute values from old PO to new PO, delete the first one.

so it looks like that zetadocs does not check the state change, because zetadocs does not know anything about the new PO. But this is the aim: To have the same zetadocs document links in the new PO (with new state).

i tested a lot: the zetadocs document links are lost on changing the state.

    regards

Zetadocs uses the NAV record number to find related records.

If I understand correctly, the process you describe results in a new NAV record being created with a different record number. If this is the case, then you need to follow the advice on ZTN4282 to configure Zetadocs Mappings, otherwise Zetadocs does not know where to find the related documents you would like to be shown in the factbox of the new NAV record.
