Reorder Cycle impact on Planning Worksheet

Hello everyone

I'd like to know if there is any impact of the Reorder Cycle when we run the planning worksheet.

For one item, I have the following setup in the FastTab Planning of the stockkeeping unit card :

Reordering Policy : Lot-for-Lot

Include inventory : yes

Reorder cycle : 6D

Safety Stock: 96

Minimum Order Quantity : 48

Order Multiple : 48

For the stock balance we have 99 units. There is a weekly forecast of 35 pcs.

When I run the Planning Worksheet, some results do not make sense. I have a suggestion of 192 units to order and sometimes the system suggests 2 purchase orders of 48 pcs each in the same week which is too much.

If i keep the reorder cycle empty, i have a suggestion of 48 units each week.

Is there any issue when a reorder cycle is combined with a safety stock? or any other issues related to the reorder cycle?

Thanks

One very good way to test / evaluate replenishment is by setting a controlled scenarios, which you can expect the result out of head, and compare with NAV result.

Investigating backward is really tedious and tough task.
