Dear all,

I am getting the following error when opening POS.

System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Dynamics.Retail.Pos.Contracts, Version=6.3.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
File name: 'Microsoft.Dynamics.Retail.Pos.Contracts, Version=6.3.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35'

WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF.
To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1.
Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging.
To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog].
.

I tried uninstalling and installing POS again but was not able to resolve.

Kindly help.

The complete event log error is:

LSRetailPosis.POS.Program: System.Reflection.ReflectionTypeLoadException: Unable to load one or more of the requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions property for more information.

    Hi Sharma,

First, to reinstall the POS, make sure you installed all CUs and KBs related to your scenario.

You have customizations that environment? If yes, try to copy the Microsoft.Dynamics.Retail.Pos.Contracts.dll
    in folder C: \ [...] \ Retail SDK [...] \ POS Plug-ins

    to the folder  C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Microsoft Dynamics AX \ 60 \ Retail POS

    I Hope this Helps!

    Regards,

    Rodolfo Recalde.

Did you rebuild, redeploy or update the POS in anyway?  The file is part of the original install, so whatever you did must have caused the dll to be removed.
