Hello I'm a Nav user 2013.I was trying to know how the average stock in the stock turnover report has been calculated.

I tried this formula :(beginning stock +ending stock)/2 but the result was wrong .Can i know what is the formula used by Nav to calculate the average stock

    Is this standard report or customize report?

    If customized report then you need to contact developer/partner

    It depends on the report.

    So far it is not clear what exactly report you refer to (perhaps, you can provide exact report name or post a screenshot here), but general recommendation to learn how it works is to limit the data in the report to some smaller range that would allow you to understand how it works. E.g., limit it to only one item and shorter period range, and look at the item transactions from the item card, and try to get the understanding. Otherwise, refer to your developer (or Partner) with this question.

    Thank you for replying

    I already tried that but i dont know how they calculate the formula

    I take one item with 2 ledger entry in it

    positive adj in 21/09/2016 qty 15

    sales in 22/09 qty 1

    when i run the report from 01/09/2016 till 22/09/2016 the average stock was 1.32

    when i run it from 21/09/2016 till 22/09/2016 average stock become 14.5

    When i run it from 21/09/2016 till 26/09/2016 average stock become 14.17

    i try to know the formula but i couldnt know what it is

    Can you from the above examples

    I suggest you to take help from developer to understand the logic written for calculating the average value from report.
