Main accounts / Translated texts

Hello everybody,

When working with the chart of accounts I have a question: I have a chart of accounts in German in the system. If you open the grid with the main account list and double-click on one of the accounts, the Main Account - Chart form opens. On this Formolar, there is a "Text" button at the top, where translations of the account names can be entered (for example in Danish, French, etc.). However, these foreign-language accounts do not appear anywhere. No matter whether I under File / Extras / Options the "language" and / or the "alternative auxiliary language" e.g. In Danish or under System Administration / System Parameters / General the system language on e.g. Danish translation, the translation of the chart of accounts is never to be seen.

How do I get it? In German Mandans the German names and as Danish, the Danish names? For something, these translations must be good, right?

Can you help me?

    Hi CKO,

    I assume that your account names are probably in English language, right?

    Why do you need a German translation?

    If you make use of the Management Reporter for generating your financial statements you can freely define the name of the ledger account (German, English, Greek, etc.) The only thing required in this case would be setting up 2 financial reporting packages, one lets say in English language and one in German Langues.

    Hi Ludwig,

    thank you so much for your mail, the problem is that we have german accounts in the system with a translation to for example Greek. When a person in Greece should open the AX system he should be able to see the accounts in greek.

    That must be possible also without Management Reporter I hope, because in this case no Management Reporter is used.

    Hi to all of you,

    now I tried all the settings but nothing really works. I tired File/Tools/Options and the system parameters. It seems the german names are still shown in the main accounts also if the whole system, like expected switches into the other language.

    I have really no idea...

    greek was an example, it is danish in our case. But for what do I need the license?
