Report builder not displaying any report data

ReportReport

I am trying my best to get a test system setup for a client of mine.

I have 2 issues which have basically left me stumped

1. In the report builder options there is no report data populated, the language selection is ok but nothing in report data.

2. Report builder will not launch, apparently the url cannot be determined.

I have applied the changes for report builder 3 to the AOT and compiled ok but it still wont work.

I can manually run the report builder from the Report manager directory , which would tell me that the builder is running fine.

Any help on either of these issues would be really appreciated as i have already spent too much time trying to get this cofigured.

Thanks in advance

Martin

    Hi Martin,

Just had the same issue you are having.

The way I fixed it was to create a new Perspective, or change an existing one, and set the usage to: AdHocReporting (see Classes\SRSConfiguration\getPerspectivesMap line 23).

I then had to go to Administration -> Setup -> Model Generation Options -> click on Update a report model, make sure to run this again if you have made any changes to a Perspective.

The update can take some time.

    Hope that fixes your issue.

Now I just need to learn how to actually use it...

Found this page earlier but I didn't know that this would fix my issue.

Thank you so much , I have spent 3 days trying to get this thing working.

I had read that page as  well but for some reason missed the usage property.

Like yourself now I need to try and figure how to work with this monster of a product.

    Thanks again

    Martin
