Period Number on Transactions

Have a client migrating from SAP to D365 Finance. Users are accustomed to seeing a Period number (1-12) on the transaction display screens in SAP and as they are on a 4-4-5 calendar, I can see where this is beneficial during transaction entry and query. Is there any way to display a Period on transactions in F&O? I checked using Date intervals, but that field isn't available on GL transaction forms.

You would need a customization for that ( for example, a calculated field on input forms based on posting date ). In SAP it’s an important field because you can have overlaps periods some the same date and user need to control it. In D365 periods don’t take the same importance. if it’s fundamental for the user, only by a customization. Is a simple one, but you need to check in what forms you need such enhancement. It can be, in a large number of forms.
