It depends on what you're looking to do....
if the upgrade failed on something like a table and you fixed the table, you'd just need to remove the failed record from the DU000030 table and then launch GP Utilities. This script will do that:
Delete DU000030 where Status <> 0 and Status <> 15
If you want to restart the upgrade of only one company database from the beginning, you'll want to use KB 920900.
If you want to restart the entire upgrade, restore all GP databases back to the prior version and make sure the DU000030 table is completely empty.
