Hi all,
I work for the chemistry industry. We face at the moment the problems that some of our products need a price deduction after a certain age. Our first draw was to use the product variants to achieve this. But in the end this forces us to keep all item variants in the database. Is there a other way to achive this so we can use variants for it real purpose?
Setup now:
Item_SizeXY
Variant a -10%
Variant b -20%
We would like to move the SizeXY to variants and find a other way to tell the system when this item is that old deduct value x from price.
Hello David,
If you operate AX2012 you will probably end up with a system modification to reduce the value of items that are slowly sold.
In D365FO you can leverage the PowerPlatform to achieve that and do not need a system modification.
What system version do you operate?

Hi thanks a lot for the fast replay. We are setting up a D365FO environment. So we would be interested into leverage the PowerPlatform.
