I created fixed assets of Library books through procurement. When I first set it up I realized the value model I attached to the group is wrong.I deleted that particular Value model and Replaced it with the correct one.Now the problem is, Its creating fixed assets with same number twice.Once of "Fixed assets acquired" and once on "fixed assets not acquired".The status on value model is "Open" for both. Please help me out, What should I do here?

    Hi Shoaib,

There can't be a duplicate asset number. You see the records now in two list pages with different filters. Can you open an asset and see whether it has more than one value model attached?

I checked the asset it has only one value model attached. However when I see the fixed asset listing report I see the duplicate asset is actually showing entry with depreciation profile and that with 0 value.

    Hi Shoaib,

Does this asset also has Depreciation books next to Value models? That could be the reason why the asset would show up in the Not acquired list page.

    Hi Andre'

You are a life saver. It  worked.I added depreciation books next to value model.Removed it and it worked.

Can you be so kind as to suggest how shall I rectify the entries that show in both acquired and not acquired?

    Hi Shoaib,

After deleting the depreciation books, you still have assets in the not acquired list page which should not be shown here?

    Hi Andre'

Yes, after deleting depreciation books I still have assets in not acquired list page. The new assets that I enter after deleting depreciation books are showing only on acquired assets. But the old ones that were duplicating, still exist in not acquired list.

There should be either a value model which has the status not acquired or a depreciation book with this status. Can you verify that?

Its the depreciation book that has the status not acquired.

@Shoaib, I had the same issue, I cleared them by going to the Fixed Assets not acquired, clicking on depreciation book on the Fixed Asset Action Pane and deleting it from there. It cleared it off.
