How to Link Various External Sheets to Management Reporter

Dear Expert,

Is there a way to link more than one external excel sheets to the Management Reporter? 

Both budget and forecast are from excel sheets. 

However, from the tree definition, It seems we can only choose one external excel file with one report path.

We can put both budget and forecast on one sheet, so in the tree definition , only one file path is shared. But I am not sure how to set up in the row definition to direct MR to grab data from two different cells in that excel sheet. Anyone has experience in this?

    Hi Ludwig,

    I see your point. I've created a separate line pointing to a different worksheet Link and report Path, this time it did not throw me an error.

    Hopefully it will work out.

    Hi Jennifer,

    Can't you setup multiple financial dimension links in the tree that link to the same row definition but different financial dimension links?

    As illustrated in this screenprint but for multiple lines?

    Have not tested this for a while but would expect that it works.

    If it does not, then it might be a limitation of the MR.

    Hi Dr. Ludwig,

    Yes, I‘ve tried adding two row links , but in the Tree Definition, I could only add one Workbook Link and one Workbook Path, can you please show me how to add another excel?

    We define which cell to pick from Row definition, and which file to pick from tree definition, right?  In the tree definition, we can only add one file path.

    Thanks for the update.

    Have you tried making use of multiple row links?

    I assume that you currently use a single one but you can setup more an use them to get the data from various excel sheets imported.
