Spell check only underlines partial words

I implemented the spell checker in AX 2009 using activeX control, everything is working fine but it underlines the partial words as it sometimes does in MS word too.

Based on this link it says it depends on the language setup.

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2010-word/spell-check-only-underlines-partial-words/2bd8f5f2-df07-4860-847e-6ec8632bfa6f?auth=1

My question is; where should I check this language setup? Is this something to check at text box control in visual studio project where this spell checking is implemented OR Is there something to check in Dynamics AX. I don't see anything in AX to check which works with language setup.

Any help would be appreciated.

As you can see the word 'understood' is showing misspelled however its not.

    Hi AX QA,
DId you try to use standard class "SysSpellChecker" instead of building your own ?

Or you can use it as reference to see how standard code deal with languages.

You would have to tell us how you implemented your solution. Saying that you use ActiveX isn't very useful, because virtually anything can exposed as an ActiveX control.

For instance, aren't you using WPF TextBox?

    Hi Ievgen,

The requirement is to make control interactive like when user typed in it should underline it if the word is misspelled same as in MS word. SysSpellChecker does not provide this feature.

    Hi Martin,

I don't know much about .Net stuff and how this control was build, I got it from one of our company's vendor and all I can see this from visual studio project. It seems it is implemented as a WPF control but I don't see any property set up for language in control. do I need to add any property here in this WPF control?

Ok, probably it's time to share you code. As Martin mentioned it's hard to understand what you have done from 1 phrase.

You can see from the screen shot I shared from VS side.

This is how it is implement in AX www.axaptapedia.com/Form_Control_With_Spell_Checking

Yes, your vendor's code uses Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF). I wouldn't say that "this is how it is implement in AX", because the link is also talking about the WPF control, which isn't a part of AX and it's just one of possible solutions based on external libraries.

Now, I don't agree with your description of the problem. Your picture clearly shows that the whole word is underlined, therefore both the title (Spell check only underlines partial words) and the link seem unrelated. Why do you claim that words are underlined only partially?

If you believe you should switch to another language, which one should it be? What's the system language on the computer running the AX client?

Ok Martin, i will check it with other language and will update you on it. Thanks for your insights.
