Error during Work Item Creation

Hello All,

I have a custom workflow that keeps giving this error After submitting my document to workflow

Stopped (error): SysWorkflowQueue-resume X++ Exception: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at SysWorkflowWorkItem-create
SysWorkflowWorkItem-createWorkItems
SysWorkflow-save
SysWorkflowQueue-resume

I do not know wheat could have caused this . i have checked through the codes and everything seems fine.

Can you please assist with possible causes of this exception.

Hi Matthew,

'object reference not set to an instance of an object' is a very generic error thrown when an application is trying to work with a reference that doesn't point to any object.

Did you debug your code?

And please provide your code if possible.

Thanks. After looking through my custom code, I deleted the workflow design and redesigned it. Then the workitems are not creating successfully without any issue. Just thinking what could be wrong at first.
