Output missing error in Production Order, NAV 2009 Classic

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

I'm getting this error when trying to change the status of a production order to finished. The reason may be that the family file used didn't include a routing number. Can I fix this by deleting this PO and doing a new one without a warehouse pick (so inventory doesn't get screwed up)? Is there a better way?

Thanks!

Ok, couldn't find an elegant solution to this. I ended up manually moving everything that was picked, from INPROD back into it's original bin.  Then deleted the production order, and started from scratch.

Ok would refreshing the released production order after entering a routing number in the family file work? I would just try this but it looks like I would have to delete all item tracking(manually) and then refresh, and then re enter it all (manually). You guys think this would work or no?

I've registered the warehouse pick, so yes (?) on booking consumption. I don't think any of the output of the PO has been generated/booked though.

Have you booked the complete output (as per the PO Qty) or some of the quantity is still pending to be booked?

If you have already booked consumption or partial output, you should not delete the production order as it might affect the overall inventory valuation.
