GP Reports and VS Tools

Posted on by 15

Hello,

Can we modify GP reports in VS Tools?

In a scenario if we need to add any logic behind report event triggers, how can we accomplish in GP 2018 R2?
We cannot use VBA because the server is Windows 2019. I was trying to find options to upgrade one of the reports client has to new GP 2018 R2 and the report has VBA code.

Appreciate the help.

Thanks,

Vidya

    Hi Vidya

I would suggest using GP Power Tools to replace your VBA. It has custom RW (report writer) functions which can be used to get data on the reports.

You could try integrating with the same placeholder functions, but GPPT already does it for you and has many other features.
