Client had a transaction data available in Production environment which got deleted. It’s a customised module which affects sub ledger accounts and general ledger accounts. The data is available in lower environment and they need this to pushed to Prod by exporting and importing to prod through data entity. I am not sure if this is possible. Can anyone advise if it’s possible to import through data entity and is it advisable?
At this time, it is not sure whether there is a connection between the deleted data and other data, whether the deleted data is core data, if it is just some custom fields or entities, then it is okay to use the import and export data method.
Can you provide more information, such as configuration, or the use case of the deleted data, to help us better solve the problem for you?
With the information you provided, I'm not able to fully oversee the impact. Is it only about missing details in a custom table or field? Or did the customization allow you to delete accounting entries? Can you elaborate on the customizations and what exact details are deleted?
If it is about a custom table or field only, you can most likely use data entities for exporting the data and import in a production environment. However, depending on the data model and missing data, you might still miss some audit data. Note that some system fields like RecordId, CreatedDateTime, and TransactionID can't be managed on missing records during import.
