Competitors table from Opportunities (opportunitycompetitors / opportunitycompetitors_association)

I would like to add columns to the opportunitycompetitors table, but it is not visible.

I want it to be possible to classify the competitors in each opportunity, through columns like "incumbent" and "preferred".

Is there a way to do this or something similar?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi blearnav,

In my knowledge, I think that the opportunitycompetirors table is not customizable.

But you can add a subgrid in the opportunity FORM to add the List of competitors that are related to your opportunity record.

You can also add a field with an option value (Preferred, incubent, etc.) in your opportunity table and then add this field in the competitor view (the view that will be added in the subgrid)

    Hope that's helpful for you

    Hi Mohamed Graib,

    thanks again for your answer.

It is not possible to change the default settings of this N:N relationship.

And if I create another relationship between the same tables, wouldn't it be a bit messy?

I think that you can create a custom N:N relationship.

Just, you must give a different name to the custom relationship that permit you to differentiate the custom and th OOB relationship.

I didn't test the solution. I can try it and give you more details if you want !

    Hello Mohamed Graib,

I would be glad if you could test this too, because I followed exactly the tutorial you sent me and this table is not shown in the list of related tables either.

    Thank you!

    Hi blearnav,

So I tested it and It wworks correctly. Please follow these steps :

    1. Create a many to many relationships between opportunity and competitor

    pastedimage1683719844403v1.png

I recommend that you give a custom name of the relatioship (Display mode) that permit you to differentiate between your custom relationship and the pre-buid relationship.

Then, don't forget to select searchable = Yes and in the display option, select "Custom label"

In my case, my custom label is "Test".

    2. Navigate to your opportunity FORM.

In my case I added a new Tab, then I added a sub grid in the Section as shown in this figure :

    pastedimage1683720043281v2.png

Then click on Switch to classic as shown in the figure below :

    pastedimage1683720083246v3.png

Now, in the classic FORM, you must configure your Subgrid, you will search your custom label of relationship as shown in this figure

    pastedimage1683720200973v4.png

    Click on Save and publish.

I recommend that you delete your first subgrid and re create it as described in these steps.

Now, Just navigate to your apps :

And you 'll show your records !

    Hope that's helpful for you.

    thanks for the help!

The problem here is that the opportunity table is not being displayed, which makes it impossible to choose the columns that I had previously created in opportunities (Preferred, incubent, etc.)

    Hi blearnav,

Yes, I see that you cannot add the fields of opportunity in the competitor view.

I 'll see if I can propose you another solution to differentiate between your competitors

    Thank you !

    Hi @blearnav

    The solution is :

Create a field in the competitor entity with the type :

    - Lookup (Table Opportunity) as shown in the figure below :

    pastedimage1683724751416v1.png

Then, Edit your competitor view, The opportunity table will appear as shown in this figure :
