Auto Populate Field Data Using Mappings

Good day,
 
I am trying to auto populate data in one entity from another (according to what I find in documentation). Despite following the steps below, it does not function as documented.
 
  • Data fields exists in Accounts & Opportunities
  • Fields are visible on Forms in Accounts & Opportunities
  • Fields are same type/format (not an address ID field)
  • 1:N Relationship Mappable type Relationship selected
  • Mapping setup identifying data field in source and target
  • Saved, Closed and Customization Published
  • No errors
 
And...nothing. Does not matter what I do..
 
Is there something in the process I have missed?
