It’s strange behavior.. It’s working for me. I am not sure why it’s not working for you. I will do more analysis and let you know if I found anything more.
Dear kvnkk,
check-in above image not only for one field for all of the fields property is "Yes".
Thanks and Regards,
Shabir
Can you do one more thing.
Just I changed the field property to yes which I want to hide
Saved the report and open though VS
and changed property and deployed from VS directly.
Result as below :-
But I am not sure whether it is correct procedure or not but it works for me.
After saving report and try deploy its crashing but saving the changes some how.
Dear,
Thanks for your valuable suggestion, but it didn't work for me, check the above images.
Thanks and Regards,
Shabir Ahmad
Hi ,
I just played with this report and got successes some how and will provide you the steps and it may helps you as well.
it is a Auto design report and using table as direct source.
- If you want to add new field add it directly in table :- InventSumDateTransReport and refresh report data-set and drag that filed in to design.
- if you want to hide the field change as shown in below screen :-
- This report having many static designs in different languages so you may face error while deploying. so what I can suggest you that.
just remove record from below table then it will deploy for current language instead of other languages.
System administration > Setup > Business intelligence > Reporting Services > Report deployment settings.
Plz take backup and try in DEV BOX before going to live..
Note :- Even my VS crashed but gone through proper way and didn't face any issue later and report working fine..
Hi Shabir,
Now I understand what you want to achieve. In your first series with screenshots, you showed the inventory dimensions with a remark to remove some of them.
Can you confirm that the report development part was successful and you are able to do a full x++ compilation and CIL build without errors? Have you also tried to view more information in the Windows event logs?
Dear,
First thing is, our one department needs to remove these above shown 5 fields in the image from inventory Report and add some other fields. As I tried the report is not letting me remove these fields. If i want to hide how could I?(Green colored column). Further, check the parameter dialog as well, before running report.
Hi Shabir,
What exact fields do you want to remove and why? You can control them using the report dialog. If you delete them, then I do think your error is caused by the fact that business logic which controls these fields are not adjusted accordingly.
Anyway, I would suggest to use the report parameters on the dialog to show or hide columns.
