Serial Number on product file

I've created a new product file and did not choose to track the product by serial number, because it didn't exist. Now, my supplier is using serial numbers and I wanted to change it, but an error "pending movements don't allow the change" is showing up. How can I update the product file so I can add the serial numbers?

Furby ,

there are 3 ways to correct this

1. Create new and mark track and block the existing one

2. you can mark serial tracking if the creation having only pending records records ,

Eg : Quentity on purchase orders/sales orders

in this case you can delete those and mark tracking

simple concept of tracking means you have to mark it when its create on first time or before make any ledger entries ,even u have one ledger entry you cannot mark tracking

3 . Delete the ledger entries form back-end (database)

Please note that this method is very risky and not recommend , don't do by your own , this might be reject to doing by your partner also....

Unfortunately it is like a new item...

Solution : Setup a new item with the correct tracking code.
