New ODBC is not displayed in the list of System Data Sources

I created a new ODBC on a client workstation (Windows 7), but it is not displayed in the list of System Data Sources ready for selection when I attempt to launch the Microsoft Dynamics GP client.

I installed the client using an .msi that is normally used to create clients on workstations that will connect to our production server. In this case, however, I want to use the workstation to access our test environment. After installing the client, I created an ODBC to connect to our Test Server. There is no other ODBC listed when I open Administrative Tools >> ODBC.

When I launch GP using the ODBC I created, the Production Server is the only data source listed.

How do I 're-point' the workstation to the test server?

You need to be using the 32-bit ODBC administrator. You will find this in the Windows->SYSWOW64 folder called odbcad32.exe.

    Hello,

Is the operating system of the Windows 7 machine 64 bit? If so, you need to open the 32 bit version of ODBC to create the connection. The default location for this is:

    C:\Windows\syswow64\odbcad32.exe

    Thank you,
