Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone can provide steps with screenshots included, if possible or a video of how to restore the test company and loaded with the most recent data from the live company.

I know that there is a KB article of this but since its the first time i will be doing it myself i will need screenshots or video to make sure i am doing all the correct and necessary steps

    RE: Restoring Test company

The article you mentioned, KB 871973, has a step by step and scripts you would need to do this:

    learn.microsoft.com/.../set-up-a-test-company

    Basically the steps are:

    1. In GP Utilities, create a shell company database with the test company name and ID.

    2. Restore a backup of the live company into this new, shell company database.

    3. Run the script from KB 871973 against this new company database to make sure the company ID values in the company match that of the SY01500 system table.

    That's about the steps needed.......

    Thanks
