Define Fixed Qty in Prod. BOM

Hi,

Is there anyway to define a fixed qty in production BOM. Normally when enter "Quantity Per" value, it will multiply by the Prod.Job qty. I need to define a fixed qty to issue irrespective of the Prod. Job qty.

Any Suggestions?

Best Regards,
Lakshan

    Hi Lakshan,

This is not available in standard. You may need to see the feasibility for the required customization.

Alternatively, you have option to change the quantity manually at Released Production Order > Line > Components. This is off course manual and user need to remember every time, but this is what is available in standard at this point in time.

This is bit strange to me, as issuing fixed component quantity, irrespective of Prod. Job Qty. Can you elaborate the reason or related industry scenario for such requirement?

    Hi Vishal,

    Many thanks for the reply.

    I'll give you an example;

Suppose there's a company policy to issue marker pen for each production order. In this case what ever the prod. Order qty issue marker pen qty will be one (1).

    Regards,

    Lakshan

You need to manage this manually by adding this line at Production Order level. You can add this lines in Prod. Order Components...

    Its an interesting question...

Generally, small articles like markers, tapes etc are treated as consumables and do not constitute part of the item BOM.

    Hope this helps

How about playing with Fixed Scrap Quantity in the Routing?
