Sales Order issue Retail POS R3

Hi  everybody,

If I create a sales order in the Retail POS R3 Application, and try to proceed with "cash button", than I get the follow message:

Due to an issue  connecting to the head office, the order cannot be saved. Do you want to try again?

Note: if you click No, the payments on the order will be voided

 

Do someone know a solution for this problem?

    Hi Laurens,

    Are you doing a sales invoice or you are doing a customer order? If you do a simple sale then this should not come if your payment method setups are ok. But for customer order creation which is a sale order type this can come if real time transaction service problem is there. Please let me know which type transaction you have done?

    It seems like Real time service is not working. Try checking the Inventory lookup feature at POS to cross verify.

    To troubleshoot Real time service check this-

    Real time service is configured properly

    The Register scheduler job has been run.

    Browse the IIS for real time service website.

    Let me know if you still face any issue.

    Hi lauren,

    I am facing the same issue but on R2, i have checked the real time service on the POS and HQ and they seem working fine.

    Did you came up with any solution regarding that.

    Hi All,

    I solved the problem some months ago, unfortunately I don't know exactly how. I think it was something with the real time services in ISS or Services on the server.

    Hi Laurens,

    You are right. It's an issue with the Real time service. I had the same thing happen on AX 2012 R2 aswell. It can be a lot of things, in my case it was a firewall that was started on the POS side.

    Hi Laurens,

    Sales Orders from POS using real time service connection to AX, so make sure your network is connect and can browse the service of CDX Real Time service.
