Hi all,

we have the necessity to Import sales agreements. I have not found a standard entity and AX brings up an error when I try to generate a new entity using the wizzard (tables with inheritance can are not supported by the wizzard).

Has anyone done this Import already?

    Hi Ronald,

I have not had the requirement yet to import this table.

The wizard does not support to create entities when the table is inherited. In this case you can create the Staging table (and possible data types for enums), Target query and DMF class manually from scratch. It is a bit more work, but it is possible.

    Hi Ronald,

I had this problem with another inherited table in the past. I managed to create the objects manually.

Probably you can use a target entity with type Table, but that will import directly into the table without staging. Then also there is no possibility to update existing records.

    Hi Mohanad,

we tried it using DIXF but the problem was the inheritance of the tables.  Hence we used conventional means by implementing in X++.

    Hi Ronald;

Thanks for your answer. It's mean you create your own DMF table, Query and Class for agreement header and another DMF for the lines.

May you indicate which table you used?

    Hi Mohanad,

no we didn't use DMF because it doesn't work with inherited tables. We implemented it as a casual X++-class using file I/O

Hi we have the same requirement, I am planning to create a custom service and expose it, do you have any X++ code to import the Sales Agreements?

    Hi Experts,

We have the necessity to import paystatementbenefit(table name:PayrollPayStatement BenefitLine) using DMF. since the table is inherited from (PayrollPayStatementLine) we tried creating DMF objects manually and when we tried to import data from staging to target I getting following error message.

"Cannot edit a record in Pay statement lines (PayrollPayStatementLine).

The operation cannot be completed, since the record was not selected for update. Remember TTSBEGIN/TTSCOMMIT as well as the FORUPDATE clause"

Please suggest me how we can successfully import data for table inheritance

    Thanks and Regards,

    Karthik
