SSRS Report Labels Not Displaying Properly

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

After modifying and existing SSRS report, none of the labels are displaying properly. They are only showing the @Label expression.

What may have caused this, and how do I fix it?

Please follow following link for SSRS report troubleshooting

    technet.microsoft.com/.../gg731894.aspx

The report labels do not display, or the report shows label IDs, like Labels!@SYS24426 instead of the label values.

The SSRS Service Account password could be invalid.

    1. From the Start menu, point to All Programs, click the SQL Server folder, click the Configuration Tools folder, and then click Reporting Services Configuration Manager.

    2. In Reporting Services Configuration Manager click Connect and then click Service Account.

    3. Set the password and then click Apply. The account and password should be the same as the Microsoft Dynamics AX proxy account. For more information, see Before you install the Reporting Services extensions.

    4. Click the ServerName/MSSQLSERVER and then click Stop. Then click Start to restart the server. Always check with the SQL administrator and make sure no other users are connected to the server before you restart the server.

Please verify and update if this information helps you.

This doesn't happen on other reports. Wouldn't the SSRS Service Account password affect other reports if that were the problem?

then may be you need to consider, reviewing your customization to the report and

I suggest try to refresh the SSRS report in design mode

try considering refreshing the dynamics AX cache

    Refresh Data

    Refresh Dictionary

    Refresh elements

    Refresh SSRS server

You find these options in developer workspace

tools (main menu) > Caches >

please verify and update if this is solution is helpful to you.

I have done all of these steps. I have also cleared the cache files manually and restarted the AOS. Nothing has helped.

Did you ever resolve this issue?

Could you verify if this report is static or not? From AX under System Administration, Setup, Business Intelligence, Reporting Services, Report Deployment Settings. Static reports are deployed with one copy for each licensed language.

Natesh is right on the business connector needs to be configured right, or the correct translations for non-static reports will not flow through properly. Also the WCF-configuration should be correctly populated with all the necessary endpoints.

You write that other reports work with proper translations, and it is this sole report that seems to misbehave. Could you rightclick the report from within AX and try redeploy it, perhaps even try delete it from the Reporting Services Manager Web page and try redeploy it.

Now, since this question is from May, I will asssume it has since been resolved. Consider my response as hints/clues for any late arrives to this thread.

I have a SO Packing slip that is a static report, Ive deployed it from the AOT to the Reporting Services LB and verified the timestamp on both of my Report Managers.

Before hand I did the following (in no order)...

    - Deployed all reports, and validated the updates to the Report Manager.

    - Validated the bcproxy account.

    - Validated several of the labelIDs in the model database

    - All users have the DynamicsAXbrowser role

    - Cleared Usage data and AUC

    - Start/Stopped SSRS MSSQLSERVER

Unfortunately, I am still not seeing labels in the reports.

I am wondering if I need to regenerate my ald label files...although I though this logic changed to storing it in the model database. Maybe there something I am missing?

It was resolved by one of our Microsoft consultants. As I recall, there was a problem with the label file.

Our issue was also resolved by hard coding the labels.

There is something related to security but I could not resolve it. When I give Admin role to the user, labels are shown properly. Do you have any idea about relation between security profile and SSRS reports label file?
