Is there a way to prevent closed activities from displaying in the list of activities to choose from on timesheets for Projects?

Have you turned off the project parameter 'include in journal lookup - inactive categories'?

Be sure that you have all KB's for timesheets installed. Closed activities should not be showing in the lookup
Yes I've unchecked that box but the closed activity is still visible in the drop down box in a timesheet.

That doesn't sound right. Can you actually select one of those inactive categories?
In addition, can you check your system version to verify whether a hotfix has been released on LCS?
