Database Recovery Model

Hi

I'm just wondering which recovery model folks use in their production systems. It's been indicated to me that Simple is the default, but as a DBA this doesn't sit very well for a production system, wondering if anyone could point me at any relevant documentation, my initial searches haven't discovered anything in particular.

thanks

    Hi,

I dont see a reason to use SIMPLE Recovery model instead of FULL which will allow you to have a more flexible restore of your DB in case that you need it. I would just consider enough storage space for the transaction log. Other than that I don't see this configuration causing any issue.

    Thanks.
