Dynamics Ax mobile connector not working

I followed the white paper to setup the mobile connector, i've downloaded the hot fix that was indicated in the white paper, all my services started, my connector was successfully started as well, however, when the user logs into the app, they are authenticated but during the sync process they get the error "something is wrong...". How do i trace where the problem is?

    Yea I was able to get the connector working. Anything could cause the error "something is wrong...". Check in the Windows Event Viewer. It'll indicate what you need to fix.

    In my case the event log shows no messages, error or otherwise, about the mobile connector.

    What did you need to change to get it to work?

    My specific error was due to the user credential not setup properly in AX.

    three places that you need to make sure you have the user setup properly.

    1) Under system administration->common->Users->users we created a new user and gave it system admin role.

    2) under Human Resources->->common->workers->workers we created a new worker

    3) Under system administration->common->Users->User Relations we mapped the user to the worker

    Any resolution to this?    Where did you find the connector download?   Did they pull it?  the link in the whitepaper doesn't work.

    Hi Pete,

    Which link in the white paper does not work?  This is the link in the white paper that points to the AX Connector download:  mbs.microsoft.com/.../AXConnectorForMobileApplications.zip

    It worked for me just now.

    HI Shyla.   Yes the link works in the new Whitepaper as of January 2014 revision.   I hadn't seen the new version.  The previous white paper versions have a link for the mobile connector that does not work.   But I'm all set w/ the new whitepaper from Jan 2014
