Hi Friends,

I am doing setup for GST-India, based on TaxEngine Setup document, i have configured GST setup but when i create project invoice, GST is not calculating and tax values showing zero.

but when i create Free text invoice with the same customer GST is calculating correctly, please suggest on the same.

If i did wrong setup's GST should not calculate for Free text invoice also i think.

is i need to do Extra setup's for Project module, please suggest on the same.

Regards.

Raghav.

These seems to be very specific questions to your localization, and most of the experts on the forum are not exposed to Indian GST.

The best approach you have is to contact your AX implementation partner, or Microsoft Support directly for assistance by logging a Support Incident:

    mbs.microsoft.com/.../support

    blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../cloud-powered-support-logging-support-incident-for-ax-2012-4

If it is a defect with the product, they would reimburse your initial ticket fee. If it is a setup or installation issue and the product is working by design, then you only had to pay a low fee to get it resolved.

The only other option is to try to debug it yourself and see how does it work from a technical point of view in order to be able to decide what is missing from the setups.

    Hello,

For calculating the Tax in project invoice proposal-

1st you will post the journals (Hour,Expenses, item, fee) in journals in Project management and accountitng.

after that create new invoive proposal and select the project.it will show all the journals of this project which you posted.click ok.

Now a in  invoice proposal transations of project invoive proposal form you will able to find 'Tax document'.

if you click 'Tax document' you will find the tax for each jpurnal.

    regards,

    Subrat

    Hello,

After posting project invoice if click the 'Item' tab then will find 'Tax document'.

Here we can find the tax calculation details.

    save_2D00_1_5F00_001.png

So, my line amount is 40,000 and tax are 8,000. So, total invoice amount are 48,000.

    Hi subrat,

GST not calculating for On account transactions for project invoice.

    1. creating On account transaction with milestone in the Project.

    2. selecting tax information.

    3. creating invoice proposal

    4. selecting milestone in invoice proposal

    5. posting the invoice.

    but GST not calculating.

    Please suggest.

    Hi Raghav,

Please check whether the accessible value is filled in or not in on account transaction. In our case, accessible value was zero and that's why GST was not calculating.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hi,

The accessible value is used to specify the taxable amount to calculate taxes(Indian) and its specific to Indian localization only.

For more information, you can refer to:

    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj664952.aspx

GST will be calculated based on the accessible value not on the sales value.

For all project related transaction(Hours, expenses, items and on account transactions), you must specify an accessible value to calculate GST.

For project o-account transaction, you can specify the accessible value as below:

    2017_2D00_07_2D00_20-18_5F00_12_5F00_57_2D002A20_On-account-GST_2C202C00_.png.png

Once you specify the accessible value and verify the tax information, GST should be calculated.

    Thanks & Regards

    Bheem Singh
