Routines --> Checklist --> add a report

ReportReport

Hi Folks

I want to add a Payables Historical Trial Balance report to my month end checklist.

I can see that I can add the Payables Trial Balance Reports Window to the checklist.

When I add the window and double click (or click open) on it from the checklist however the date time user id update on the checklist screen but the report selection window does not actually open.

I'm getting the same results for Receivables Trial balance, inventory stock status and received not invoiced.  Presumably all the report windows are not going to open.

Can I add a report window to a checklist?  If I cannot, are there any suggestions to how to make a month end check list for a user that is looking for ONE list of shortcuts?

thanks!

    Hello,

    I am seeing the same results when I attempt to pull up a report screen with options like the ones that you listed.  My recommendation would be to just record a quick macro of going to (Reports>Purchasing>Trial Balance) from the top menu to open the window.  Then on your checklist select 'Microsoft Dynamics GP Macro' for the Type and select it in the Application lookup window.

    If you have never created a Macro, just go to your home page in GP.

    1. Go to (Microsoft Dynamics GP>Tools>Macro>Record)

    2. Choose where you want to save the macro, you could save it to the user's computer that will be doing this action.

    3. Use the menu bar to go to (Reports>Purchasing>Trial Balance)

    4. In the Payables Trial Balance Reports window, click on 'Tools>Macro>Stop'

    You now have a macro of opening the report window that you could use for this.

    I hope this helps!
